The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regards to the higher variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to read more reach-out into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area daily. The provider issue produced for intervention activities a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
